Jersey Sophomores Under The Radar

6-6 Atlantic City Sophomore Darnell Davis
Here’s a list second year players that are out for a little props.

Jamal Edwards (Pleasantville) 6-3 - The
silky smooth Edwards is an athlete that can shoot the three. Jamal enjoys
slashing and finishing at the hole. Edwards’s greatest asset might be his
ability to lock in on defense.
Darnell Davis (Atlantic City) 6-6 – Big D as
he is called is a heavy banger. He does the dirty while playing. Davis takes up
a lot of space and finishes inside. Darnell should see major minutes this year
for the Vikings, helping their guards get open looks.

Kyle Fitzgerald 6’5 Forward( Red Bank Regional) -
Kyle is a multi-talented wing player. Fitzgerald shoots the three and has and
above average handle. A trip to the weight room will do this sophomore some
good. Some added muscle will make Kyle more willing to bang and finish off plays
in the lane.

Rashawn Dwight 6’4 Guard ( Bloomfield Tech) -
Ra Ra had an up and down freshmen year. Dwight received some significant
minutes, but gave some see-saw results. The wiry wing showed flashes of
greatness with dribble drives and extended finishes, and then on other plays he
proved to be turnover prone. Look for a more steady campaign out of Rashawn.
Keith Jones 5’9 Guard (N. Burlington) - Last
season Jones spent the majority of the year delivering the ball to Cedric
Jackson. Now Keith must carry the load. The 5’10 lefty relies on a hesitation
and crossover dribble to create space. Jones is a streaky shooter, when hot can
hit 3 to 4 bombs in a row.
