NJ Class
of 2006
Dan Werner
68 Forward (CBA)

By Metrohoops Staff
Date: January 27th, 2006
Its hard to believe
half of the high school season has come and went. That
means its time to give our Mid Season honors to the top
players in their respective classes in each region.
Congratulations to the winners and nominees but remember
theres still another half of the season to play.
Today we start with New Jersey!
New Jersey Breakdown
Class 2006
Dan Werner 68 Forward (CBA)-Werner has been
outstanding thus far. He led his team to impressive wins
against Paterson Catholic and St. Patricks. He also
scored 32 points vs. defensive minded St. Anthony in a
narrow loss. Basically he has been giving teams the
business!
Other Top Nominees
Earl Clark 68 Guard (Rahway)
James Livingston 63 Guard (Trenton Central)
Stanley Harris 67 Forward (East Orange Campus)
Gamar Johnson 62 Guard (Trenton Catholic Academy)
Dasean Butler 67 Forward (Bloomfield Tech)
Casiem Drummond 611 Center (Bloomfield Tech)
Eugene Harvey 61 Guard (St. Benedicts Prep)
Brian Zoubek 71 Center (Haddonfield)
Keon Lawrence 61 Guard (Weequahic)
Class 2007
Corey Fisher 61 Guard (St. Patricks)-When
his teammates allow him to take over Fisher delivers.
Nothing was more apparent then his performance in big
wins vs. Neumann-Goretti and St. Benedicts Prep. At
times he was clearly the best player on the floor.
Other Top Nominees
Anthony Nelson 62 Guard (Plainfield)
Corey Chandler 62 Guard (Newark Eastside)
AlRay Blackman 510 Guard (Shabazz)
Idris Hilliard 66 Forward (Hun)
Kyreek Irick 65 Forward (Teaneck)
Julian Sanders 63 Guard (Shawnee)
Adam Braswell 62 Guard (Burlington Township)
Class 2008
Samardo Samuels 68 Forward
(St. Benedicts Prep)-Samuels has been a beast
since arriving in the Garden State. He punishes
defenders on the blocks with his muscular frame and has
shown some high level post moves. He has become the #1
post option for the Gray Bees.
Other Top Nominess
Ashton Gibbs 62 Guard (Seton Hall Prep)
Jonathan Edwards 67 Forward (Living Faith Christian
Academy)
Dave Johnson Jr. 59 Guard (Lakewood Prep)
Jordan Theodore 511 Guard (Paterson Catholic)
Wayne Mack 510 Guard (Paramus Catholic)
Class 2009
Gregory Echenique 69 Forward
(St. Benedicts Prep)-Gregory is by far the
most powerful player in this class. He already makes an
impact once he checks in games for the Gray Bees. He
finishes above the rim and has swift feet for a big man.
