New Jersey's Class of 2010   : Freshman to Watch
New Jersey's Freshman Class is loaded this year. Here's a sneak peek at some of the talented players in the class of 2010 in the Garden State.

By Galen Smith

Kevin Baez 60 Guard North Bergen Tech:  A very athletic player who can string together buckets at a deafening pace when hes on.

Kevin Boyle 58 Guard St. Patrick:  Son of St. Patricks Head Coach Kevin Sr., the younger Boyle is a slick ball-handler and long-range sniper with an incredible basketball IQ.  Improved quickness will help him log minutes on an already tough St. Patrick team that plays one of the toughest schedules in the nation.

Aaron Brown 6-2 Guard - Paramus Catholic:  Brown is the consummate point guard. Brown is nicknamed The Brain by one of his coaches for his high level thinking on the court. Aaron is a true point guard with great size. Expect big things from young Aaron in the next couple years.

Trevor Clemings 67 Center - Paramus Catholic:  What a freshman class for Paramus Catholic. Physically gifted and  young, Clemons hit the genetic lottery at 6-8 250+ pounds. Trevor may be the next dominating big man from the Garden State.

Fuquan Edwin 63 Forward Paterson Catholic:  Paterson Catholic has some Freshman Class. Mr. Edwin is multi-talented player who can play positions 2 through 4. If he stays focused and continues to improve, Fuquan will be a big time guard at next level.

Aaron Gowans 62 Guard Bloomfield Tech:  Gowans is built like a line backer but possesses the skills of a point guard. Gowans can bully his way to the basket at will, and when driving to the cup there arent many youngsters even at the high school level who would dare step in for a charge. Aaron should be a force to be reckoned with at the Group 1 powerhouse.

John Greenwald 63 Forward North Bergen Tech:  Greenwald can play both forward positions and is a deadly mid-range shooter who can put the ball on the floor. Should see plenty of varsity time.

Jayon James 6'5 Small Forward - Paterson Catholic:  Jayon is highly skilled for a player of his size at such a young age. He can handle rock, post-up and shoot the 3-ball. This kid has the package. Jayon has all the tools to become a  high major college prospect.

Dante Johnson 6-2 Guard - South Plainfield High School:  Johnson can score in a hurry and excels on the open floor. Hes a great defensive player. Dante has good springs for a youngster and should become a legit 2-guard at the high school level.

Fuquan Knight 58 Guard Newark Central:  Knight is a blur in the open court and and more than a handful to contain off the bounce.  His toughness and slick handle make him a problem on both sides of the ball.  Very capable of racking up steals and assists in bunches.

Franz Massenat 510 Guard Trenton Catholic:  This slashing south paw guard from Ewing should see plenty of varsity time.  Has all the potential to be a big time guard.

Wayne Newsome 64Forward Piscataway:  Newsome is an awesome athlete.  He has superb timing on rebounds and blocking shots.  He should be an immediate impact player at Piscataway High School

Pat OConnell 60 PG - Red Bank Catholic: Very heady player and good point who physically evokes comparisons to a young Gerry McNamara. Good floor game, handles and passes very well. Can finish in transition, and sees the court well. Perimeter is shot is serviceable but can improve.

Chase Plummer 64Forward St. Patrick:  Plummer would probably start for most public schools in the state. Already a good rebounder and finisher around the rim, hes making a smooth transition from the post to the wing.  He probably wont crack the St. Pats line up until next season but hes definitely one to keep an eye on.

Steven Rennard 60 Guard St. Joe (Metuchen): Steven is regarded as one of GC$.5;Y1I%GC$.5;Y1I%GC$.5;Y1I%GC$.5;Y1I%GC$.5;Y1I#%GC$.5;Y1IJ%GC$.5;Y1JI%GC$.5;Y1K%GC$.5;Y1L%GC$.5;Y1N%GC$.5;Y1O_%GC$.5;Y1P%GC$.5;Y1RJ%Qd4 E1%ӛW4p4>^%r^j;,Յd]a 0%r^j;,Յd]a^%r^j;,Յd]aL%r^j;,Յd]a)J%r^j;,Յd]a+%r^j;,Յd]a9(%r^j;,Յd]aB'%R !m`(S%ݛ ҧrC%ۍ'^ 5^ xd%גbb44%גbb44Z%גbb44%גbb44Z%גbb44 %גbb44%גbb44%גbb44`%גbb44]%גbb44 %גbb44!6%גbb44FS%4ϫY.%4ϫY.[%4ϫY.A%4ϫY.K%4ϫY.1%4ϫY.9%4ϫY.1%4ϫY.7%4ϫY.:%4ϫY.O%4ϫY.)%4ϫY.%4ϫY.*%4ϫY.0V%4ϫY.4+%4ϫY.40%4ϫY.41%4ϫY.:=%4ϫY.B%G_vBS%o䞞F$"!%WQ ҿzB#B%!)uU0%fj;U3%fj;U3%fj;U3`%i5[Ӽ]?.%zfyC\?.%Pj?5q@x)6D%"쮾ovKR3%ܼ({+;4V %ܼ({+;4V#%ܼ({+;4V[%ܼ({+;4V,%ܼ({+;4V%ܼ({+;4VAY%ܼ({+;4VI%ܼ({+;4VI%ꗛ~q<~K}n%Q= UŕH0%*Hb(v'\%(I@A^ =%ϒ8xHQ%ϒ8xHR% g*W%E 5р8%(qdwOd0%g\bCqpXTu_%h0%=% %4c%*.ˀ*dc-k"%Vs¤lKq&+%x MER>5%jڠp`%jڠp`Q%jڠp`R%jڠp`'b%jڠp`'d%jڠp`(%jڠp`(%jڠp`( %uw,G"_%NKm>\> $%NKm>\> 7%N 8}wE%d3H&fJx_%R3nzcOH%vQF oU%vQF oX%vQF oD%vQF oE%vQF oF%`MZ% \]j|'qk-7]%c<JݭiY%c<Jݭi[%c<Jݭi]%c<JݭiI%c<JݭiD%c<Jݭi $%c<Jݭi X%c<Jݭi%c<Jݭi^%c<Jݭi0%c<Jݭi.%c<Jݭi/%c<Jݭi %c<Jݭi+d%c<Jݭi, %c<Jݭi,Z%c<Jݭi/4%c<Jݭi3Z%c<Jݭi>7%c<Jݭi>8%c<JݭiF%c<JݭiFH%c<JݭiFI%c<JݭiJ9%c<JݭiK%c<JݭiU%lfv ʍ8@%uA~q`a%۬Dθ8ɘ!*%۬Dθ8ɘ!c%۬Dθ8ɘ!3b&rr&.2& ״n'H& ״n'^& ״n'?& ״n'& ״n'& ״n'+& ״n' & ״n'$=& ״n'*& ״n'*Z& ״n'+V,@LC k1_dDDc]^52yC*zW-#zW2C#^ `*zW 8@@CCd 2I`w/F]t+BYp(?Vm%<Sj "9Pg~  6 M d {   3 J a x   0 F ] t  , C Z q  ) @ W n &=Tk #:Qh  7Ne|4Kby0G^u-CZq V)ˤ,H˜T;͊0Phvt[~)Ej!j@R |(W'kۋpV 8k-}4ʓ~"n BC8XbvшhSAĩ':YE'h~IԖPG{0  $YcW]8{g!p@% iWl}`lD^e/5arxtmN[q2$C:oCa74j/9L~lQ35xѷS2j03*@<7x b>N[@ SjLP6,nzJYHڟ0(d8> IȔre{{D+!
